🍀 A Lucky Day at Loaves & Fishes! 🍀
Yesterday we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with leprechauns, lots of green, and a lively Irish jig playing in the background. But the best part of the day wasn’t the decorations — it was the incredible response from our community.
Because of your generosity we served 405 meals yesterday — up from 327 meals last year — and distributed 120 pantry bags to help families through the week.
And the donations? Amazing.
Our tables and racks were overflowing with winter clothing, household items, toys, books, and games for the kids. Guests had so many wonderful things to choose from — a true reminder of what a caring community can do when people come together.
And we’re not slowing down…
👓 Next week we’ll welcome Lay Canon George Marshall, who will help our guests learn about the Episcopal Charities Eye Care Program, connecting people with access to vision care.
📚 The Cathedral Reading Group will also be back to spend time reading with our younger guests.
🍝 And after our Irish celebration, next week we’re heading south for an Italian feast!
Thank you to everyone who cooks, volunteers, donates, and supports Loaves & Fishes. You help make days like this possible. 💚
